Nicki Minaj Gets Real with ‘Right By My Side’

Campy, quirky, and totally fierce, Nicki Minaj is an artist we absolutely adore!

She had us running for the dance floor with her previous single, “Starships,” and now the self-proclaimed black Barbie is shifting gears and slowing her roll with her latest hit, “Right By My Side.”

The new track takes a detour from the string of energetic jams the diva has served up in the past. This time around we’re treated to the singer’s softer side as Minaj croons pleading lyrics like, “Don’t turn away. Pay attention. I’m pouring out my heart, oh, boy.”

Chris Brown’s guest vocals seamlessly meld with Minaj’s distinctive sound in this collaboration,  grounding  the song with a dose of smooth soul.

The single’s music video captures the fashionista at her most stunning, yet Nicki still manages to deliver a performance in her signature over-the-top style.
