WATCH: Meiko — 'Leave The Lights On'

Even if you are not familiar with Meiko, chances are you've heard one of her songs on a TV show, such as Grey's Anatomy.

The soft-spoken singer with a slight southern accent (she's originally from a small town in Georgia) now lives in Los Angeles and started building a fan base while performing at open mic nights. One evening while waiting tables at The Hotel Cafe in LA, she was blown away by a solo performance by Sia that moved her to pursue music full time. Since then, Meiko's career has gained momentum and she's currently on a mini-tour in Japan with plans to eventually do a U.S. tour later in the year.

Meiko's sophomore album The Bright Side is a bunch of nicely done love songs, mixing electronic with organic sounds, like this track, "Leave The Lights On," which has become one of the best indie-electronic singles of the summer.
