Is Lady Gaga Longing for Broadway?

Lady Gaga recently shared via Twitter a rare photo of herself in costume from a high school production of Guys and Dolls as ditzy gangster's girlfriend Miss Adelaide — a scene-stealing role played on Broadway by the likes of Faith Prince and the great Vivian Blaine — and the 18-year-old student actress looks just like… Lady Gaga.

“Some things never change…,” Gaga tweeted. “here’s a photo of [me] in highschool in the school play (set that wig + did my own makeup!)”

Before she was Gaga, little Miss Stefani Germanotta, who graduated in 2004 from the all-girls’ Convent of the Sacred Heart on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, also participated in plays and musicals with the male performers at the nearby Regis High School. In the 2011 MTV special Lady Gaga: Inside the Outside, she described playing Adelaide in Guys and Dolls at Regis as “the greatest moment of high school. I tell you, I still dream about it.”

The tweeted Guys and Dolls photo clearly means that pop star is feeling nostalgic about her musical theater roots, so we predict a Broadway debut within the next few years. OK, assuming Gaga chooses to showcase her talents in a major bankable revival — and in case Guys and Dolls isn't revived again in time — which stage role should Gaga play?
