Which Duet Should RuPaul and Honey Boo Boo Do?
Get ready, Grammy voters, because RuPaul recently told E! at MTV's VMAs, “I’m doing a duet record and I’m here to ask Honey Boo Boo Child to be my duet partner!”
Why is Ru so drawn to Georgia pageant queen Alana Thompson, 7-year-old star of TLC's controversial reality series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo? “She is real. She is lovely. She’s funny. She doesn’t take herself seriously. The whole family doesn’t take themselves seriously. It’s really just good fun. I love anybody who dances to the beat of a different drummer.”
OK, so what should these two queens attempt to sing? Sure, they could whip up some sassy original, but if they were smart, they'd do a club-ready remix cover of a legendary duet. And if they were really smart, they'd take one of our five suggestions:
"Does He Love You?," Reba McEntire and Linda Davis
What? It's entirely plausible that RuPaul and Honey Boo Boo would both be in love with the same cheatin' man. And it must be a sign that the Boo Boo clan lives in McIntyre, Georgia.
"The Boy Is Mine," Brandy and Monica
Same script, different cast. You know this would be epic.
"Ebony and Ivory," Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder
Too on the nose?
“When You Believe,” Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston
Ru and Boo have the pipes to pull off the theme to Prince of Egypt, right?
"Don’t Go Breakin’ My Heart," Elton John and RuPaul
RuPaul replaced Elton John's original partner, Kiki Dee, in 1992, and now it's time for Boo Boo to fill John's shoes.
Is there another jam you think RuBoo2 should tag-team?
