Welcome to the New Gay.Net

In early 2010 a small group of gays decided it was time to re-launch editorial on the original gay dating site, Gay.com. But rather than make it newsy or political like Advocate, or fashion and pop-culture focused like OUT, we decided to do things a little differently.

We decided to create the ultimate online cocktail party.

On this new site, named Gay.com Daily, there were features on TV, music, comic books, movies and the celebs we loved gossiping about. We focused on travel destinations, spotlighting fun photos from the guys who had been there. We covered news and hot topics that got readers riled up: everything from the gay community’s relationship with God, to LGBT service members, intergenerational relationships, and bisexuality. Then, just for good measure, we added in a healthy dose of hunky studs with our Eye Candy, In Brief, and Dear Richard columns.

The good news is that this became an incredibly popular party.

The better news is that we got so big, we needed a new home to house all you readers.

And so we come to the launch of Gay.net, which is actually a re-launch in itself, but let’s not waste time with gay web history lessons right now. Instead, let’s talk about what you’ll find here:

•An “It List” of our sassy, sexy, and thought-provoking top stories
•Improved search function to find past articles or specific topics
•More diversity in Entertainment, Travel, Hot Topics, and Style
•Specialized sections, like our Barbie, Refresh & Relax, and Dating 101 hubs

Plus, a fresh, clean design that lets you easily delve into Gay.net’s fun content. So sit back and enjoy the ride, because you never know what can happen when you’re caught in the ‘Net.
