Westboro Plans to Picket Funeral of Steve Jobs

The Advocate’s Winston Gieseke asks, “Is it possible that God hates Steve Jobs, but not the products he created?”

Margie Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church apparently think so.

In yet another transparent bid for publicity, Phelps has announced that the Westboro Baptist Church will be picketing the funeral of Apple cofounder Steve Jobs because he “served [him]self, not God.”

And just how did she make this announcement? By tweeting it from her Apple iPhone.

The Kansas-based organization, which has protested memorials of everyone from victims of gay bashings to those killed in the 2006 Sago Mine disaster — often times with signs stating “God Hates Fags” — has called for “no peace” for Jobs.

Thankfully we now have a clear understanding that only people who create iPhones will be going to hell, not those who use iPhones.

I wonder, with all the support, abilty to plan the the right to movement that we the Gay community has why we don't we all gather at the services of this Kansas based church and present ourselves as well mannered openly gay Americans and over power the ill spoken words of this mislead cult they call a church.

If 500 gay men and women all showed up for Sundays service and showed that what WE can do when WE decide to make our presence known maybe he would spend more time keeping his house in order than worry about ours.

As long as we set idle and allow him to destroy our lives, our memories our quite moments then he will continue pressing his issues on us. Lets see how the shoe fits if we put it on the other foot, HIS. Just a thought how many fellow men and women would join in a road trip to Kansas?

Do they realized that there are almost 1 billion Apple fans to their 20? They (Phelps) better turn over their iPhone or it will be tracked!

Is it just me or do images of the anti-Christ come to mind when you see the creepy man & his ilk?

Not being one who is one bit afraid of advocating violence, it is time to silence these creeps once and for all...whatever it takes!
