I don't see any big mystery here. The reasons people rob are usually because they're broke or in debt, or need drugs. The reason they kill is so they can't be identified. Trying to use his credit card? That's just dumb. They might have gotten away with it otherwise. But forget about "rich porn stars." There are very few. And many such "stars" have very sad and sordid lives after their brief porn career fizzles out. Look up "dead porn stars" and read some of their stories. Success is not often a part of their lives post-porn. Drugs, disease, and occasional murder are, however. This guy probably ran through whatever he made a SC as soon as he got it. If he was here on an expired tourist visa or no visa, he may never have worked at anything regular since SC in 2008. And he was only there a few months. If he tried to make a living as a "stud" I bet it didn't work so well as FL's economic crisis deepened. She may have been in the same boat. Living on the margins is never fun but it gets worse when the economy tanks.

Oh, and their total haul was about $6000 PLUS the listed goods. Re-read the story. If they were desperate enough to kill, that amount of $$ alone must have looked fantastic.

I agree with another 'poster' that there must be something more to this story than jusst a robbery. I'm sure he was successful as a pron star, therefore, he must have been well off. To commit murder is an extreme way to end a robbery, if that was the primary reason for the crime. Was robbery the only reason for killing him? If it was, the guy must be somewhat retarded, becxause the consequences for murder are much more than for robbery! Again, there must be a bigger story here and maybe when she is tried for the same crime, it will come out.

What cheapens the life of someone who is murdered is for more people to die. If life is precious why not protect all life. Why do we desire to take a persons life through "capital" punishment. I don't think that people are going to decide to commit a murder just bc they don't give them the "chair". Are we still so backward in our thinking that we have to resort to "an eye for an eye, a life for a life"? If we are than perhaps we should establish a penal system like Saudi Arabia. Cut the hands of thieves, give lashing to people who stand up and protest. This is the western world. A place were we are more human and evolved than that. Come on!

It's pretty interesting what goes on in gay porn, psychologically. Considering the ages of the actors, you never know whether they're naive or psychotic. And it's interesting to guess whether an actor is more manipulating or the producers and directors. And it's interesting to see how they are portrayed as straight, when they sometimes seem very experienced with other men. The more films they do, the more it seems like the latter.

What's ironic is that the Sean Cody porn stars seem so much more All-American and boy next door than most doing porn!
