Clay Aiken Says NC Anti-Gay Marriage Amendment Will Harm Children

In this new video, entertainer Clay Aiken speaks out against Amendment One, the North Carolina ballot measure that would ban same-sex marriage, domestic partnerships, and non-marriage partner benefits for gay and straight couples alike. The North Carolina native says the constitutional amendment will harm children.
"No matter what we might want a family to look like, we can't put into a constitution—a document that's supposed to protect our rights, one narrow definition," says Aiken. "An amendment like this goes way to far. It'll take away protections from kids who right now may have access to health care because one of their parents has health care at work."
Aiken is asking people to donate time and money to Protect All NC Familes, a group that is working to defeat the May 8th ballot measure.
