Oreos Encourage Other Homo-Snack-uals To Come Out Of The Pantry

Now that Oreos have "come out of the pantry", satirist Stephen Colbert wants to know the political leanings of his other favorite snacks.

He already knows which way Twinkies swing—"After all, [their] mascot is a naked man in a cowboy hat." But what about other sugary foods like Almond Joys and Mounds? Almond Joys do have nuts, but Mounds don't. Life can be so confusing.

But not everyone is happy about Oreos' newfound gayness. In their latest video below, the somewhat homophobic Next Media Animation has depicted haters stabbing the icing out of a gay Oreo on the street—yikes!

Meanwhile, The Washington Post's Dan Zak thinks the Oreo as is just the beginning of a new wave of pro-gay advertising. And he may be right.

One artist has mocked-up nine other snack foods to imagine what Twizzlers and Pop-Tarts might look like if they celebrated Pride month too.

So while every food company figures out which of their products are gay, you may wanna thank General Mills foods for supporting marriage equality and enjoy Colbert and NMA's hilarious gay food send-ups below.
