To celebrate Halloween, Gays and Lesbians Allied Against Defamation (GLAAD) has decided to throw a party that mixes the two things gay men stereotypically love most — their mothers fabulous dress and Broadway musicals.

The result — GLAAD's Haunted Broadway Halloween Ball — is open to anyone who'd like to dress as their favorite Broadway character and mingle with San Francisco's finest, fun-loving LGBT folks.

Attendees will enjoy a night with complimentary vodka drinks, wine, beer, devilishly delicious hors d'oeuvres and the chance to hobnob with special surprise guests.

Plus, you'll see some amazingly wicked costumes in their to-die-for costume contest. Considering how much effort gay guys put into their costumes, you'll definitely want to see them in person.

A ticket to the ghoulish gathering runs $40, but the cost will help GLAAD continue its important mission against anti-LGBT media.

And who knows? You just might end up dancing with Angel from Rent, Macavity from Cats or Sky Masterson from Guys and Dolls.

As for us, we're thinking of going as one of the giraffes from The Lion King... those things are awesome!
