Proud Gay Marine Gets Touching Goodbye Gift

No, it's not a picture of Clay Aiken in his Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat costume.

A Marine recently posted this photo of himself on Reddit, writing, "Today’s my unofficial last day as a Marine. This is what my unit gave me to say goodbye.”

Who knew that straight jarheads could be so thoughtful?

"I was so touched. And they gave it to me after I just gave a speech of how awesome they treated me post-9/20," he later commented, referring to the 2011 "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" repeal date. "Their words were: 'Funny you should mention that. We got you a gift.' I'm going to miss them."
