Photos Compare Amendment One to Racial Segregation

The Every1Against1 campaign hopes to prevent the passage of Amendment One in North Carolina by distributing downloadable photos that evoke the African-American struggle for civil rights. The images are emblazoned with the campaign's motto, "On May 8th, make history. Don't repeat it."

Amendment One is a proposed amendment to the North Carolina constitution that defines marriage between one man and one woman as the only relationship recognized by the state. Domestic partnerships and civil unions for both same-sex and opposite-sex couples wouldl not longer be valid if voters approve the legislation in next Tuesday's primary election.

Everyone1Against1 has also formatted the images to be used as Facebook cover photos and is encouraging people to spread them via social media.
