Pride Beats: Flight Facilities' Disco Departures

Disco house is a sub genre that comes and goes every few years depending on the current state of dance music. But when it arrives again on the scene, the resulting sounds are refreshing and ready to be played at a poolside party, or on a daytime dance floor while sipping your favorite tropical cocktail.

Aussie indie electro duo Flight Facilities — Hugo Gruzman and Jimmy Lyell — successfully started in 2009 within the Sydney club scene, first by remixing other artists' songs, then quickly churning out their own original disco-tinged tracks for Australian radio and DJ sets. They have been a big hit in club land ever since, and you're about to hear and see why.

The tracks featured below are only a few of the superb works that Flight Facilities produced this year, set to their own style of retro video footage, which nicely kicks up the fun factor of their signature sound.

Disco is the essence of celebratory dance music, and Flight Facilities have expertly brought it back — just in time for summer Pride shenanigans! So grab a seat, fasten your safety belt, and get ready for a nonstop disco departure.
