Sharon Needles Rises From The Dead

Yesterday, the mayor of Pittsburgh officially declared today Sharon Needles Day in honor of the RuPaul's Drag Race winner for her outspoken support of LGBT youth and non-discrimination.

Drag interviewer Damiana recently caught up with Needles and asked her how it feels to be a celebrity, whether she gets along with her rival Phi Phi O'Hara and what what she bought with her $100,000 grand prize.

In short order, Needles responded that people should judge her by her art, that Phi Phi is much better in person than on TV and that Needles spent her money on her first car—a hearse named Rhonda.

The rest of the interview is a hoot and worth watching, especially because it shows Needles drinking a cocktail made of shredded dollar bills. Quality viewing.
