It's Super Bowl weekend and many gays and girls are fixated on Madonna's performance. That's great and all, but we think they're missing the more obvious goal: all the hot, sweaty, muscled men in tight uniforms!
Fortunately, your friends at Gay.net are on the ball, feverishly scrimmaging to score you the finest specimens around. We asked our Facebook fans who they liked, got some great suggestions for tight ends, wide receivers—you get the idea— narrowed that list by the availability of sexy photos, and came up with the names you see below. Some guys are current players, others classic, but all of them are perfect picks for our fantasy football team. And while we may have multiple men in the same position, that doesn't matter to us. What we care about is the position we'd be in if we were huddled up with one or all of these super studs.

David Kopay
You may not recognize the name, but Kopay was an NFL running back. In 1975 he became one of the first professional athletes to come out as gay. He played for the San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions, Washington Redskins, New Orleans Saints, and Green Bay Packers, and allegedly had an affair with Washington Redskins player Jerry Smith, who died of AIDS without ever having publicly come out of the closet.
Joe Namath
Much more of a household name, Namath was one of the most well-known players to use his fame and sex appeal to appear in TV shows and endorse products. One of his most notable appearances is in a Noxzema shaving cream commercial where Charlie's Angels star Farrah Fawcett shaves him. He was a quarterback for the New York Jets and LA Rams.
Esera Tualo
Esera Tualo was a defensive linebacker for the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Jacksonville Jaguars, Atlanta Falcons, and the Carolina Panthers. After retiring he came out of the closet, openly discussing his gay life on the HBO show Real Sports, as well as appearing on a cover of The Advocate.
Tualo was the third professional NFL player to come out, following David Kopay and Roy Simmons. (And while we do love Simmons for coming out, we couldn't fit everyone on this list.)
Since coming out, Tualo has been working to combat homophobia in sports by being a supporter and spokesperson for LGBT causes. But, to be fair, we should mention he allegedly assaulted his partner in 2010 and was arrested for domestic violence.
Matt Forte
Matt Forte is a running back for the Chicago Bears, and though just turned 26 he’s got the hot looks of a longtime pro. So hot, in fact, that ESPN did a profile of his fitness regimen in their Sweat Spot column. These photos by Ross Dettman are from that story. Rob Gronkowski
A tight end for the New England Patriots, Gronkowski was kind enough to pose shirtless with porn star BiBi Jones, who then posted the pics on Twitter (below, left). Obviously not shy, he and his brother Dan (tight end, Cleveland Browns) recently did a photo shoot with photographer Stewart Smith for Ceceba, a German men’s underwear line.

Adrian Peterson
The baby-faced running back for the Minnesota Vikings has grown up into a man. Peterson's still got that dreamy smile, but when we stumbled on his layout from Muscle & Fitness we knew we needed to include him in this list. Ripped and tatted, he was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, was awarded the MVP award for his performance in the Pro Bowl, and has the third highest average rushing yards per game total in NFL history.
Brandon Marshall
Brandon Marshall is a wide receiver who started with the Denver Broncos and now plays for the Miami Dolphins. He set an NFL record for receptions in a game (that would be 21) and is one of only five players in NFL history to catch at least 100 passes in three consecutive seasons. He’s certainly sweet looking, but then we found this series of black and white shots that had us gasping for air. Tom Brady
The quarterback for the New England Patriots has many gay fans; in fact, he was the most suggested name from the Facebook post. Sure, it could be because he’s a great player and all that, but we have another theory. We think a lot of his popularity is due to photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, who shot the player for Vman (below). The real question now is this: When compared to the other hotties on this list will Brady be on top, on bottom, or sandwiched somewhere in between like a pig in a blanket?
Brady Quinn
Brady Quinn is a quarterback with the Denver Broncos, and he’s certainly sexy enough to make this list. But did you know he’s got a gay "dating" scandal attached to his name?
Back when he was with the Cleveland Browns, TMZ.com uncovered that gay dating site men4men used his photo in an ad without his permission. Needless to say, Quinn’s legal team got the pictures removed but not before the sexy shot below was sent all over the ‘net. He then went on to do other, more professional, shoots.
Clay Matthews
We normally don’t go for long haired guys, so Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews wasn't even on our radar. Then we found his layout from Muscle & Fitness that showed him off in all his Fabio glory. With good lighting, fine styling, and a lovely dash of Photoshop, we were suddenly hoping he'd show us how to toss a ball or two.

Tim Tebow
We weren't going to put the Denver Broncos quarterback on the list because he's been getting so much press lately we didn't want to feed into it. Plus, there's all that praying "I'm a devout Christian" stuff, which usually translates to not liking our people. But then we considered three factors:
1. Some suspect he's a homo because he has gay voice.
2. If he is a homo-hating Christian, being on this list will piss him off.
3. He's got a ton of great shirtless photos.
And those are three great reasons why we decided to include him at the end.

You missed one very important, sexy football player. Mark Sanchez. He's way hotter than Joe Namath was at the time of his Cosmo layout.

Tebow refused to sign an anti-bullying statement because it was being pushed by a group that wants to put a stop to bullying of kids in school that classmates perceive as being gay. I'd like to ask Tebow: OK, so you're not supportive of the gay community, but you FAVOR bullying of other students?

I am not really sure why Tim Tebow being a Christian, or even being anti-gay, should make him any less sexy or attractive to look at. I certainly have no problem looking at his shirtless photos. The fact of the matter is that regardless of whether or not any of your 11 players are gay, or even bi-sexual; none of us are going to ever end up in the sack with any of these hunks, except possibly in our dreams. So, you will forgive me if I continue to fantasize about ending up in bed in a three-way with Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski. Hell, Clay Matthews can even be the pizza delivery guy.

The sexiest football player is not on the list. Bradie James of Dallas Cowboys is way hotter than all of these here. Unfortunately he's fucked up with the silly Christianity bullshit so he's not mentally hot but he has a great body !

It's amazing that so many of these hunks all of a sudden (the single ones) are 'sporting' super model gf or B actresses gf and all of a sudden, they are 'players' with PDA moments in all the popular pulp mags.! Several of the ones pictured here have rumors about them being gay or at least bi, but lo! when the heat gets too much, they are now red blooded hunks, f*cking their booties (or Hooters?) when off the field! Of course, I understand the reason for it: MONEY! MONEY! (also, in a couple of cases, the sexuality they exude, appeals to both sexes (latent?) and their egos want to maintain this attraction). So you picked Tebow because:
1. "Some suspect he's a homo because he has a gay voice." Yes, I believe I've heard him lisp once or twice. He could REALLY use some gym work on that flabby belly. He could also use a good orthodontist to fix that stupid grin.
2. "If he is a homo-hating Christian, being on this list will piss him off." Hmm. Do you ACTUALLY think he reads this post or knows anyone who does? Doubtful.
3. "He's got a ton of great shirtless photos." I personally don't think his smile will get him too many dates and, unfortunately, those shirtless photos also show his no-muscle body. I'm not clear on what he has to be so thankful for, either. Perhaps it's the paycheck or maybe it's because you can fool all of the people some of the time.

I find it interesting that of the 11 players profiled, only 3 are black. The fact is that the NFL is over 50% black players these days. Seems a little out of wack to me. Plus the article says Tebow and Quinn superstars???? Quinn doesn't even start on his team, and Tebow just won the job this year. Doesn't sound like superstar material to me. I don't think either will ever make a Pro Bowl.
I find it interesting that right away you play that old race card..Sure there are attractive black players but as the poll shows the 3 that ARE on the list are in single digits percentage wise..You have a problem with the white players listed but yet you offer no black players as replacements....hmmm?

I will give you a few football men of color who put every guy on this list to shame in my view. Cam Newton....cute, confident, fine as hell, super talented, a Heisman winner, college football national champ. Reggie Bush...superstar and he has even been on magazine covers for his looks and his amazing body. Terrell Owens...a drame queen sure but his body is amazing. Will Demps...simply gorgeous. Macho Harris is simply amazing looking. And to crown it off please check out the stunning Devin Thomas.
Please gay.com writer Google or Bing these guys and you will see why you need to revise this list. Even the white guys who go for only other white guys will be hard pressed to deny these guys are simply off the chain.

Why must they have proportional inclusion for this site? Blacks might represent 50% but I'll bet 75 to 80 % persent of the fans are white and latino! Look at the voting results! That tells it all.
Doesn't matter the percent of the fans. We are talking about who it hot and with over 50% of players black how can there not be more who are considered hot. It seems the author found some of the most obscure white dudes to include and didn't even include the best looking black dudes in the countdown.
How could Reggie Bush not make the list? What about hotshot Cam Newton? And if we want to include older players or former players what about someone like gorgeous Rod Woodson?
This is not about being PC or something. I just think how could such gorgeous and talented NFLers not make this list when they include old stars like Namath and Kopay? Brady Quinn is hot in an Abercrombie sense but he is not a NFL star.
