Go Behind the Scenes of Off-Broadway's Gayest Musical

By: Brandon Voss

If you missed Bare when it debuted 2000 in L.A. and bowed 2004 in NYC, get ready to rejoice: Jon Hartmere and Damon Intrabartolo's cult pop-rock musical returns Off-Broadway this fall. Featuring choreography by Travis Wall from Oxygen's All the Right Moves, Bare begins previews Nov. 19 and opens Dec. 9 at New World Stages.

A coming-of-age love story set in a co-ed Catholic boarding school, Bare stars Taylor Trensch and Jason Hite as a secret gay couple struggling with the idea of going public. Because it's obviously one of those shows where it won't be enough to simply see it, the producers have just established Bare Nation, an audience loyalty program.

The many privileges of Bare Nation include discounted house seats, exclusive merchandise, VIP access to events like post-show parties, priority access to digital downloads, and discounts from Bare retail and restaurant partners. The only way become a citizen of Bare Nation is to purchase a full-price ticket to see Bare during previews from Nov. 19 to Dec. 8.
