It may seem like a strange pairing, but Liza Minnelli and Alan Cumming actually have something in common — besides the fact that they're both gayer than Christmas.

Minnelli won an Oscar for playing Sally Bowles in the 1972 film version of Cabaret, and Cumming won a Tony for playing the Emcee in the 1998 Broadway revival, so it made sense for them to join forces onstage: After the two first performed together on Fire Island in summer 2012, Minnelli and Cumming paired up again Mar. 13 and 14 at New York's fabled Town Hall to celebrate Minnelli's 67th birthday. What, did you miss it?!

Below, watch footage of the duo as they pay homage to Cabaret composers Kander and Ebb by singing "Nowadays" and "Class" from Chicago.
