What are some of the things you love most about Baltimore?
Its hometown feel, a big city with proximity to Washington DC, and New York. Great small restaurants the harbor and its green open spaces.
Are any famous people from your town?
A fair few, how about John Waters, Michael Bloomberg, Toni Braxton, and Michael Phelps.
If someone came to your town for just four hours, what is the one thing he should do?
Downtown area, Aquarium or Harbor.
What are some great restaurants for a night out with friends?
From the small, Clementine’s to the foreign Helmand’s.
What are some great restaurants for a romantic gay date?
Baltimore has some great restaurants and some of them are quiet and candle lit, which always help when one wants a romantic evening.
What are your favorite gay bars and/or dance clubs?
Baltimore has a plethora of bars and clubs, but I have to say gay wise it would be Hippo and Central Station, for an evening out it would be Red Star in Fells Point.
What are your favorite gay parties or events? What is the crowd or scene like at those places?
Pride is great, the street party (block party) after the parade, brings out the masses and is always a lot of fun. Hamden has a Fair in June also that is ALL Baltimore, complete with glasses and Hair.
Where is the best public place for a gay person to make out there?
Have not been here that long so have not found one, but holding hands in the street gets no attention, which is great!
What is the gay community like there? Do you consider yourself to be part of any particular "scene?"
It’s very varied from the circuit boys to the elegant, and all there is between.
Where do you go for other forms of entertainment -- live theater, concerts, movies, art exhibits?
Entertainment is varied, local art galleries to great theater venues.
If you had gay friends visiting from out of town for the first time, what are some "must-dos" you'd recommend?
As with the four hour visit, the Harbor is a must, people watching there is great, Mount Vernon, is the gay center and has most of the bars and clubs. Canton is young and hip and there are museums and attractions a plenty.
Is there a local cocktail that's popular in Baltimore?
Can’t call it a cocktail but Old Bay is the local spice, and used on most Baltimore foods.
If you had to describe the "average gay boy" style of your town in two words, what would they be?
What bar has the cutest/hottest bartenders?
Would have to say Hippo.
Do gay men and lesbians hang out together in your town or is that just unheard of?
The bars not so much, but at home yes.
Do you have a hometown crush?
The guys are cute here, and are from Blue collar to Exec. So yes I have had a few!
What was the last vacation you took? Where did you go? Where do you most want to go?
A two week trip to Alaska, The place is beautiful. The Far East, and I mean China and Asia.
