What was the last vacation you took? Where did you go? Where do you most want to go?
The last vacation I took was on a cruise to Mexico - loved every minute of it! There's nothing like being on the open water, staring at the ocean and the sky - and having tons of time to do absolutely nothing but relax. I have always wanted to do a Mediterranean cruise and visit the Greek Isles as I am adopted and believe that my heritage is from that part of the world.

Are any famous people from your town?
Several - Shaq, the Backstreet Boys, O-town, just to name a few. Those who don't live here often come by to visit The Mouse.

What are some of the things you love most about your town?
It's fun having the theme parks in your back yard, though living here you don't often go to them. But all of the surrounding hoopla is fun - giant AMC theatres, IMAX screens, tons and tons of restaurants and places to eat just about anything. Variety is really Orlando's catchword.

Jim_3 If someone came to your town for just four hours, what is the one thing he should do?
See Cirque du Soleil's La Nouba at Downtown Disney. It's an amazing, beautiful show.

What are some great restaurants for a night out with gay friends?
The absolute best place in town is a dive chain called Tijuana Flats - they have the best salsa and queso in the whole world! It's a tradition to go there before anything "big" - like a movie, a date, theme parks, etc. You will NEVER have a bad meal there. It's a must!

What are some great restaurants for a romantic gay date? What about these restaurants appeals to you?
A really great place to take someone for a romantic gay date is Kimono's at the Swan and Dolphin resort at Disney World - very contemporary Japanese and chic - ideal for just hanging out with soft, modern lighting. For dessert, go to The Desert Lady in Metrowest - a quaint little bistro with plenty of atmosphere and amazing cheesecakes!

What are your favorite gay bars and/or dance clubs?
The most popular club in town is the Parliament House - it's got a dance club, leather pool bar, adult XXX shop, motel, beach, pool and drag bar. Sunday nights seem to be the biggest nights of the week. Pulse is a smaller, more modern bar that plays more to the college crowd - and is increasingly popular. It has a drag/strip bar, dance room, and a white room that can change colors - very cool and chic.

Jim_2 What are your favorite gay parties or events in your town, if any? What is the crowd or scene like at those places?
Everybody's probably heard of Gay Days at the theme parks - that's the biggest party here all year round. A week of fun and letting go, great music, and turning the world pink for a day. It's amazing. A very diverse and eclectic crowd to be sure!

Where is the best public place for a gay person to make out there?
There's not really a great place to make out in Orlando, as it's 'family-oriented' - most of the people here tend to be more conservative and keep the action indoors or in gay-themed areas unfortunately.

What is the gay community like there? Do you consider yourself to be part of any particular "scene?"
The community is very bar-oriented, and while I don't consider myself to be a part of any particular scene, there are your typical ones found here - twink, jock, military, older, leather, etc.

Where do you shop for clothes?
There are several premium outlets here - one right near Disney World - they have amazing deals. (The Ed Hardy outlet has to be seen to be believed!)

Where do you go for other forms of entertainment -- live theater, concerts, movies, art exhibits? Are there any local gay performance groups, bands, or artists that you're a fan of?
Orlando is currently building a large performance art arena and center in downtown - but until then, a lot of Broadway shows come to the Bob Carr theatre or the Orlando Arena. The arena is home to the Orlando Magic basketball team which made it to the finals last year. There are a lot of local artists and talent in the Church Street Station area - perfect for those out-of-the-way places and holes-in-the-wall entertainment that you just can't find anywhere else.

If you had gay friends visiting from out of town for the first time, what are some "must-dos" you'd recommend?
EPCOT Go to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Cirque du Soleil, Islands of Adventure, Sea World, the Mall at Millennia, and Tijuana Flats.

Is there a local cocktail that's popular in your town?
Nothing special comes to mind - but I'm not a huge drinker. :)

Where do the hot boys in your town tend to hang out?
Parliament House on Sundays and Pulse on Wednesdays.

If you had to describe the "average gay boy" style of your town in two words, what would they be?
Disney queen. LOL. :)

What bar has the cutest/hottest bartenders?
Pulse has the hottest bartenders!

Do gay men and lesbians hang out together in your town or is that just unheard of?
They do hang out together - it's not much of an issue here.

Has your town ever had a "gay scandal?"
A certain highly-elected official is rumored to be gay - and everyone supposedly knows it. He's on the national scene and causing quite a stir - so we will see if it ever breaks!

Do you have a hometown crush?
Yes - he's got red hair, tall, thin, and is amazingly stylish. He's also got a heart of gold underneath all of the outer beauty.
