Augusta, GA Pride—June 19, 2010

By: Michael Matson

Augusta, Georgia's second oldest city, has never had an official Pride celebration before. So a group of organizers decided that they couldn't leave the LGBT community that way, and put together a parade and festival headlined by legendary Grammy-winner, Thelma Houston (left). The one day event is free to all, but there's also a special VIP package that includes complimentary drinks and special seating for Houston's performance, as well as, the performance by American Idol semi-finalist Frenchie Davis. We've got more details below, including a list of local bars, restaurants, and hotels.
