The Detroit Eagle Flies Off Into the Sunset

After 23 years of exciting leather
fun, the Detroit
Eagle closed its doors on Saturday, July 10th. Folks came on down for one last drink and to reminisce about the
good times. They also enjoyed a fire-sale on Friday, July 9th, to purchase one-of-a-kind Eagle memorabilia.

It was a sad day for the kink community in Detroit.

Backstreet and the Works collide!

People going to Backstreet at it's old location on Joy road will be
in for a surprise: It's now a STRAIGHT BAR. Don't despair, the
gay partner in the bar took his share and reopened Backstreet on the
former site of the "Works," on Michigan Avenue.

page for more information, but Backstreet is still alive and well and hopping
even in this heat! (That said, we'll miss the Dance Fever-era lighted dance floor...)
