For a fun leather experience checkout the Hayloft at, just down from the former sight of Backstreet. They're having a Leather Expo September 18th with a variety of fun vendors, live demonstrations and hot men in leather.
Put on your gear and come on out. Bartender Jason (formerly of the Eagle) is tending bar there Tue-Fridays as well, 3-6:00pm.
Check out hot summer fun at the patio of Detroit's own Slow's BBQ. September 11th is Macho Summer with the DJs of Macho City fame. DJs Mike Tee and Scott Zacharias rock out with old school Disco / Italo on the outdoor patio at Slow's BBQ (the best BBQ I've ever had). They also have an astonishingly good selection of microbrew beer and some rather fantastic young (inexpensive) white wine.

Off-the-hook fun for the whole family happens at Outfest, Ann Arbor's fun outdoor gay festival. This year it's held September 18th, in Kerrytown around Ann Arbor's gay Mecca, Bruan Court. They'll have performances by local celebrities including Drag King Rebellion and (the) fundamentalists.
