Luxury Las Vegas Treatment
It's well known that there's more to Las Vegas than gambling; indeed, visitors who absolutely hate casinos can find a ton of wonderful ways to relax, refresh, and nourish your body and mind. So with that in mind, we looked at our numerous Las Vegas trips from last year and put together our idea of the ultimate day of relaxation and entertainment.
And where on the Strip would that place you?
The Wynn and Encore, of course.
The full-service Spa at Encore—one of the few Vegas recipients of the Forbes Five Star awards— offers ultimate personal comfort in an inspiring setting of elegance and luxury. Natural décor elements including sunlight, flowing water and limestone, combined with a European-inspired indoor-outdoor service approach that emphasizes the "treat" in treatments.
Start with a relaxing Encore Escape Couple's treatment in the Encore Spa. This 105-minute massage features the world's best techniques, where couples can escape side-by-side in an experience that is simply out of this world. Detoxify with herbal infused Thai poultice bags and select Thai stretches, which are great if you work out a lot or spend your day staring at a computer screen and gathering tension in your back or neck. Follow that by relaxing with heated stones and the rocking and rolling of Hawaiian lomi-lomi techniques. Conclude the treatment by hydrating in a warm cocooning wrap while receiving a scalp massage with Indian Shirodhara oils.
Don't rush out yet. You've paid for an afternoon of relaxation so use the men's showers, steam room, sauna, hot and cold plunges, experience showers, and hair and body care amenities to get ready for your evening.
We've told you about the incredible backstage experience from Cirque du Soleil, but the Wynn features it's own incredible aqua/aerial spectacle called Le Rêve. The show features an ambitious blend of aerial acrobatics, provocative choreography and outrageous antics from a group of colorful characters. The international cast of more than 90 athletes and entertainers captures the imagination with their strength and agility (as well as arms and abs to tie for). From a thrilling high-dive to synchronized swimmers doing the tango in red high heels, Le Rêve is captivating from beginning to end.
If money is no object, try the ultimate romantic evening. Le Rêve's VIP Indulgence Package comes with the best seats in the house, champagne bottle service, chocolate covered strawberries and behind-the-scenes video monitors.
Not in the mood to hit the Las Vegas gay bars? Then complete your evening with a drink at Parasol Up or Parasol Down along the Lake of Dreams. This is an environmental theater at the Wynn that transforms light, water, horticulture, architecture, music and imagery to create a multi-media sensory experience unlike anything ever staged on The Strip. The seven shows use water effects, light, music, projections, robots, a giant frog and even a giant head that rises from the lake's depths. Shows begin after dark—approximately 7:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.— and occur every half hour.
