Guadalajara Gay Pride(Marcha de la Diversidad XV)2011 Photos
GoGayGuadalajara.com, the new English language portal to everything gay in Guadalajara, Mexico, was on the streets for the 15th annual March for Diversity (Marcha de la Diversidad XV). Lucky for you, they sent in a photo report for Gay.com!
The festivities started with the Zodoma Fest, a yearly leather & fetish event over Pride weekend. It's hosted by leather-designer Zodoma in Guadalajara at the largest and most famous gay club called Monica’s Disco.
On Saturday thousands poured into the streets of downtown Guadalajara, Mexico's second largest city and home of the country's largest out LGBT population, for Marcha de la Diversidad XV, the 15th Annual March for Diversity. With same-sex families more prevalent than ever, and a large presence from Puerto Vallarta, this year's March included both political and entertaining floats and revelers. It rained, but that didn't dampen anyone's spirits.
After the March, thousands headed into Plaza Liberacion directly behind the Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady, the Roman Catholic cathedral of the Archdiocese of Guadalajara and a minor basilica. Saturday night the party kept going at dozens of clubs and bars, including Guadalajara's largest dance club, Blackcherry Grand. Music by sexy Mexican circuit DJ Cristian Leyva had the crowd moving all night long.
