'Celebrity Apprentice' Gets Gayest Cast Yet

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Donald Trump may be the one facing challenges when the new season of Celebrity Apprentice premieres on February 12.

The well-known homophobe will be working with the gayest cast of his Apprentice franchise to date. Not only will out celebrities George Takei and Clay Aiken be a part of the season 5 cast, but gay favorites Lisa Lampanelli and Aubrey O’Day have chosen gay charities as their recipient should either of the women take home the Celebrity Apprentice crown.

The casting announcement has left many wondering if Trump will find himself in a verbal sparring match with one of his contestants over gay rights issues. After all, he’s been very vocal about his opposition to same-sex marriage and partner benefits for same-sex couples. This will make for some rather uncomfortable moments when he’s seated at the same table as Takei—who married his same-sex partner Brad Altman back in September of 2008.

However, if anyone is going to go head-to-head over equality issues our money is on Lampanelli or O’Day. Both women have a history of (loudly) standing up for gay rights and O’Day was even fired from girl group Danity Kane for telling off her boss, Sean (Diddy) Combs, on more than one televised occasion.

Check out the full cast list—and the charities they’ll be playing for—below.
