Tracy Morgan's Homophobic Rant to be Addressed on '30 Rock'

By: Joe Thompson

Last August, 30 Rock's creator and star Tina Fey told that the show may address co-star Tracy Morgan’s alleged homophobic comedy routine last summer in Nashville. “It’s the kind of story that even if it happened to someone else, we would probably turn it into a Tracy story,” she said. “So we may use it.”

Now The Advocate, via the Huffington Post, reports it's going to happen.

Evidently MSNBC anchor Thomas Roberts appears in the episode. He's reported as saying, "Well, you know how a lot of their episodes mirror their lives ... They've incorporated [Morgan's rant] into the Tracy Jordan storyline," says Roberts. "Liz Lemon writes Tracy's apology on the show and says he's not a homophobe, he's an idiot. That offends idiots, so while NBC is being picketed by the LBGT community, now it's also being picketed by idiots led by Denise Richards. She's the leader of the idiots."

Season 6 of the award-winning series will premiere tonight on NBC. Read the full story on
