Gays and lesbians have had a long love affair with the TV variety show. Many an hour would be spent watching the dazzling music and unpredictable comedy sketches from such famous faces as Sonny & Cher or Carol Burnett, and even more surprising names like Lynda Carter, Olivia Newton-John, The Brady Bunch or The Captain & Tennille; indeed, in the 1970s and '80s, it seemed like every personality had their very own on-air talent show.

Now superstar Sherry Vine has teamed up with here! TV to bring the world a modern take on this classic style. She's Living for This is a fun-filled half-hour packed with some of the best-known queer comics and entertainers on the scene, and it's bursting at the sequined seams with comedy sketches, special guests, a weekly soap opera, and musical numbers. Confirmed guests for the first three shows of the six-episode first season include Tony-nominated performance artist Justin Vivian Bond, drag diva Peppermint, and cabaret singer and New York City legend Joey Arias, with more special guests to be announced soon.

The show is scheduled to premiere February 24 on here!, but the Boston LGBT Film Festival is hosting the New England premiere of She's Living for This next Thursday, February 9, from 9:00-10:00PM. There will be a sneak preview of the show, plus Vine will be there for a Q & A after the screening. In anticipation of this event, Vine sat down for an interview with Emmy Winner Charlotte Robinson, host of OUTTAKE VOICES™ . Listen to the conversation here.
