'Mad Men's' Don Draper and Roger Sterling Reimagined as Gay Lovers

By: Michael Matson

In a video that could easily be titled Brokeback Mad Men, Pop Culture Pirate takes footage of the show’s lead characters Don Draper (Jon Hamm) and Roger Sterling (John Slattery) and remixed the narrative into a story about two men as gay lovers who are outed.

Titled QueerMen: Don Loves Roger Mad Men Remix, the clip succeeds in taking the show’s patriarchs and redirecting them to find relief and happiness in each other.

“We love watching powerful men run into the walls created by their traditional masculinity,” writes Pop Culture Pirate. “I wanted to tell a story where Don subverts rather than sells traditional maleness to finally give our hero some relief.”
