Ask Travis: Why Won’t My Date Touch Me?

There are a wide range of opinions on the appropriate level of physical intimacy during the early stages of a love relationship. While we might not all agree on the specifics, most gay men would agree that physical intimacy is an essential part of any romance. But how do you deal with a date who shies away from even the simplest touch?

Travis Wall – star of the Oxygen Network’s upcoming series All the Right Moves – has some heartfelt advice for Gay.net reader Scott, who asks:

“I'm dating a guy who won't touch me. We shook hands at the first date, and I even got a hug at the end. We're now on the fourth date, and there is no physical contact. He talks about 'taking it slow', which I have no problem with, but not even simple touches or a kiss? Could he be unavailable?”
