Evil Nuns, Sadistic Doctors and Adam Levine Lurk in 'Asylum'

By: Daniel Villarreal

Out actor Zachary Quinto and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine will give gay audiences two great reasons to watch the second season of gay writer Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story. But will either man survive the horrors of the Briarcliff Asylum?

Take a peek at the season's new full-length trailer below and guess for yourselves.

It seems unlikely that Levine will make it all the way through as he already told Entertainment Weekly that his contemporary character, Leo, will enter the abandoned asylum as part of a "Haunted Honeymoon" tour.

He and his wife decide to get freaky in the ruins and then... "I don’t want to tell you too much," Levine said, "but it's gory."

Quinto may have a better chance in the role of Dr. Thredson. While Quinto played the ghost of a gay homeowner in season one, in season two, Thredson will serve as the nemesis to Sister Jude, a cruel nun played by the incomparable Jessica Lange.

"This will really be the Jessica Lange show so I’m very excited about it," Murphy told EW. "We are designing this amazing new opposite of the Constance character for her."

Yeesh! And if the rumors about the season's monstrous villain Bloody Face are true, then both Levine and Quinto may not last very long in the haunted halls of Briarcliff asylum.

By the way, the asylum is set in Mitt Romney's state of Massachusetts—frightening!
