WATCH: Adam Levine Goes Gay and Shirtless on 'SNL'

Shortly after being goaded into losing his shirt in the opening monologue, Saturday Night Live host Adam Levine slipped into something a little gayer.

The Voice mentor and Maroon 5 frontman played Todd Anthony, the flamboyant cohost of Circle Work, a show on the fictional Gay Network where they basically sit in a circle and work it out, serving up gay solutions for gay problems.

The gag is that they're the kind of gays who think every man's gay, but sometimes they're actually spot-on in their diagnosis. Offensive or harmless, the sketch is, to borrow their quip, as gay as a gay goose in a gay geese pride parade.

The Out cover boy first reached out to the gay community and addressed his own sexuality in a 2007 interview with The Advocate. "I’m not into dick," he told the magazine. "I wish I were. It would be so much easier. Because, you know, men have a certain camaraderie with each other that’s easygoing and kind of simple, when you think about it... I’m most definitely straight, but I grew up with amazing parents who taught me what’s really important: character. It makes no difference to me what someone’s sexual orientation is. If they’re a dickhead, they’re a dickhead."
