WATCH: Seth MacFarlane Leads L.A. Gay Men's Chorus in Oscars Opening
If you weren't that crazy about Seth MacFarlane's performance as host of Sunday night's Oscars, you weren't alone; as played by William Shatner, Star Trek‘s James T. Kirk even beamed in from the future to warn Seth of the horrible reviews to come.
Among Seth's worst offenses, as shown by Captain Kirk on a recording during the opening monologue, the gay-friendly Family Guy creator accompanies the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles on a song called "We Saw Your Boobs," a tasteless tribute to exposed celebrity breasts on film. This bit led to one of the funniest and gayest exchanges of the evening:
"Just so you know, I'm not actually a member of that chorus," says MacFarlane. "I was just joining in at the end there."
"Oh, trust me," Shatner replies, "in July 2015 you join the chorus."
And after dressing up like the Flying Nun to seduce Sally Field, how can MacFarlane class up the ceremony and save his reputation? Enter eye-candy like Channing Tatum, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Daniel Radcliffe, for starters.
