WATCH: Lady Gaga Goes 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow'

Who says a pop star only needs one outfit per performance?

Much like her opening number at the VMAs, Lady Gaga showcased her entire wardrobe while performing her new single, "Applause," Monday on Good Morning America, channeling various characters from The Wizard of Oz.

Hey, she's Lady Gaga — why shouldn't she get to be Dorothy, Glinda, and the Wicked Witch of the West?

With the Tin Man, Scarecrow, and Cowardly Lion queening out beside her, she also showed off her vocal chops with a stirring rendition of "Over the Rainbow." Does it get any gayer?

"All of these outfits and all of these wigs that I've been changing in over the years, this is my way of assimilating, and this is my way of surviving," Gaga later told Robin Roberts of her inspiration. "This is my way of getting to Oz, to have all my dreams come true… Dorothy was able to transform in order to survive."

Somewhere over the rainbow, Judy Garland is looking down, saying, "WTF?"
