Beyoncé and 'True Blood': A Match Made in HBO Heaven
Fangbangers and Beyhivers rejoice! Beyoncé is coming to Bon Temps. Kinda.
The pop diva will star in a series of concert vignettes airing before the seventh and final season of True Blood this summer.
From HBO via Instinct Magazine:
Beyoncé returns to HBO later this month for BEYONCÉ: X10, a ten-episode series of concert performances. Starting June 29, a new four-minute segment will debut every Sunday night at 8:55 p.m. (ET/PT), immediately before the debut of a new episode of the final season of “True Blood” at 9:00 p.m. The performances were shot live in various cities during her recently completed Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.
10 times the Bey, 10 times the Blood-shed.
Mrs. Carter's previous HBO effort, the self-directed documentary Life Is But a Dream, was the channel's most viewed music special since 2003.
For the True Blood overtures, Queen Bey will perform the following songs, mostly off her earth-shattering, eponymous fifth album: “Blow/Cherry,” “Drunk in Love,” “Ghost/Haunted,” “Flawless/Yoncé,” “Get Me Bodied/Baby Boy/Diva,” “Girls,” “Heaven,” “Partition,” “Why Don’t You Love Me?” and “XO."
Eric, roll up the partition please. We don't need to see Sookie on her knees.
