WATCH: 'Husbands' Season 2 Premiere
Husbands, the acclaimed “marriage equality comedy” from YouTube personality Brad Bell and prolific TV writer-producer Jane Espenson, is back for a second online season!
To recap: Celebrating a federal amendment for marriage equality, newly out professional baseball player Brady (Sean Hemeon) and flamboyant struggling actor Cheeks (Bell) had a drunken Las Vegas wedding, but the unlikely pair ultimately chose not to get divorced and risk tarnishing the cause.
In the first of the new season’s three extended episodes, Cheeks angers the “Billion Moms” and threatens to jeopardize Brady’s career when he Instagrams a picture of their morning smooch and generally queens out in public at every opportunity. Should Cheeks butch it up to make their marriage more palatable for the mainstream? Looking hunkier than ever in his briefs, Brady does make a convincing argument…
Comic-Con geeks will be totally psyched to spot Joss Whedon costarring as Brady’s condescendingly tolerant agent Wes, as well as quirky cameos from kick-ass female alums of Whedon shows like Dollhouse and Buffy. So renew your vow to love Husbands until death do you part.
