These Three Golden Sisters are Not 'Drunk in Love' With Beyoncé's Song
It seems not everyone is intoxicated by Beyoncé’s music. Well, at least that’s the case for the three grandmothers who release YouTube videos as Three Golden Sisters. During one of their recent lunches, the subject of Beyoncé’s “Drunk in Love” remix featuring Kanye West came up, and they are very vocal about expressing their dismay for a song that “all the teenagers are singing.”
As the clip begins, there is a brief discussion about Kanye West’s profession since one of the women is under the impression West is a basketball player (“Kim Kardashian likes them big — trust me, he’s a basketball player.”). They then proceed to take turns reading portions of “Drunk in Love.” In between, they offer up commentary about the song from speculating about the size of West’s bathtub to questioning an obscure reference to Tina Turner’s biopic What’s Love Got to Do with It. The more they read, the more confused and frustrated they become. At one point, one of the sisters exclaims, “We never talked when we had sex. What’s all this talking???”
If you’ve ever wondered what sexually charged lyrics sounds like when they are read out loud by a group of grandmothers, your curiosity will be satisfied after viewing this video.
